What's the difference between a Radio Drama and an Audio Book? Simple answer, actors. Instead of just a narrator speaking to you and reading your work aloud, you'll get a full set of actors and actresses to act out your book like a play.

At Pasta Studio, we will record your work in our studio with our staple of actors, and like the old fashioned radio dramas from the days of The War of the Worlds, The Lone Ranger and even Star Wars (yes, it was a Radio Drama before it ever hit the silver screen), we'll produce your book with the quality of a movie.

What's required to get your manuscript done in this fashion? Simple, all we're looking for is a complete manuscript, a fun story, and an open minded author who is interested in getting a credit to his or her name. Just like our Audio Books, we'll do all the work for you, and there are no submission fees. Unfortunately, at this time, we don't offer any payday past royalties for your work, but, if you're struggling to get your foot in the door, this is one fun and exciting way for you to do so. So get writing, and submit your manuscript today!

Quick Guidelines for Submitting a Manuscript
  1. Query letter must come before the book. Submit yours to: pastastudio@gmail.com.

  2. You must submit your manuscript via email as a word document. If we can't open the document, you'll be required to submit the story again in the proper format. No Microsoft Works files. Please submit them as a Microsoft Word document or a .txt file.

  3. Send your file with the following format: Times New Roman font and 12 point text. Double spaced.

  4. Please allow 2 weeks for a response to a query letter, 4 weeks for a response to your manuscript. Check out the rest of our submission guidelines before you submit your work.

  5. We don't accept Romance novels of any kind, but, if the romance is cleverly desguised in an action, or science fiction plot, for example, we'd happily read it. There must be some dimension to the story.

About our Style...

When we record a Radio Drama, we'll add sound effects, a sound track and a professional staple of actresses and actors.

First, we'll narrate it with a professional reader, add in actors and actresses for dialogue, and get your manuscript recorded in a sound studio. After editing out all the flaws and finalizing just the narration, we add in sound effects and music. The style of music we choose will be influenced by the story. We'll work closely with the author and figure out what they had in mind when they wrote the story, and when we see eye to eye, we'll publish your audio book with the sound quality of a movie.

An ear for great sound.
